About this vehicle

In 1975, the Italian military began developing an expeditionary unit fire support tank. The designers planned to mount the cutting-edge 60 mm HVGS gun in a light two-man turret. The gun offered good armor penetration thanks to a high initial shell velocity. The compact and light tank, suitable for air transport, was designed for airborne troops, marine units, and the Alpini mountain infantry corps. However, because the vehicle's parts and components were not unified with other Italian vehicles, the project was closed at the prototype stage.
