About this vehicle

A project for major modernization project of the M47, which was in service with the French army. The main goal was to keep the vehicle up to date until enough AMX 30 tanks were produced. The design called for installing a new gun, enhancing the fire-control system, strengthening the armor, mounting a bulldozer blade and external fuel tanks, as well as reducing the crew—the driver's assistant's position was replaced by an ammunition rack.
