About this vehicle

After World War II, the French decided to create a heavy tank taking into account their accumulated experience. All pre-war and wartime French heavy tank projects were taken into consideration. A clear German influence could be sensed in many parts and components, since France had abundant information on the Panther and the King Tiger. The French even considered borrowing ideas from the U.S.S.R., attempting to reproduce the famous pike nose of the IS-3 on the new vehicle.
