Coated Optics

Coated Optics (Equipment)

In one sentence:

Equipment adding +10% view range at all times, moving or stationary.

What it means

Coated Optics increase your view range by 10% unconditionally — on the move, standing still, always. They're the vision equipment of choice for active scouts and any tank that fights while mobile, in contrast to binoculars which only work after sitting still.

How it's calculated

Effective view range = base view range × 1.10

Example

A 400 m base view range becomes 440 m with optics — often the difference between spotting an approaching flanker first or eating the first shot.

Why it matters

Vision control decides who shoots first. On light tanks and aggressive mediums, optics are close to mandatory.

Common pitfall

⚠ Stacking view range far beyond 445 m has diminishing returns against well-camouflaged targets — the spotting system caps practical benefit.
