MoE
Marks of Excellence (3-Mark)
Three barrel marks earned by sustaining 65%, 85%, and 95% damage-and-assist percentile on a specific tank.
What it means
Marks of Excellence are painted barrel markings that signal a player has consistently performed above a damage threshold on a specific tank. Earned cumulatively: first mark at 65th percentile, second at 85th, third at 95th. The marks are tank-specific (a 3-marked T-62A means nothing about your IS-7 skill), and visible on every player's barrel in-game and on the team list.
How it's calculated
Modifiers
Damage+assist is measured: spotting damage and tracking assist count fully toward the percentile. This means light tanks and scouts can 3-mark via assist work, not just direct damage.
Typical values
First mark (1 MoE): ~65th percentile. Second mark (2 MoE): ~85th. Third mark (3 MoE): ~95th. Top 1% players hold 3 MoE on most of their tanks; casual players rarely earn the third mark on any tank.
Example
Why it matters
MoE is the most visible skill signal in-game. 3-marked players are matched by enemies as priority targets and trusted by teammates for callouts. It's also a personal goal that drives improvement — chasing the 95th percentile teaches damage farming, positioning, and decision-making faster than any guide.
