Spall Liner

Spall Liner (Equipment)

In one sentence:

Equipment reducing damage from HE splash, ramming, and crew injuries.

What it means

The Spall Liner is an internal armor layer that reduces damage taken from non-penetrating high-explosive splash and from ramming, and lowers the chance of crew injuries. It comes in classes by vehicle weight, with superheavy liners on the biggest tanks providing the strongest effect.

Example

Superheavy tanks that attract artillery fire — slow, big-silhouette targets — take visibly less splash damage per hit with a liner installed.

Why it matters

Against artillery-heavy matches and HE-spamming derp guns, a liner converts many painful hits into shrugs.

Common pitfall

⚠ On fast, rarely-hit tanks the liner does almost nothing — it's a niche pick for slow armor magnets, not a general defensive buff.
