Credits
Credits (Primary In-Game Currency)
The main soft currency of World of Tanks, earned in battle and spent on ammunition, repairs, and tank purchases.
What it means
Credits are the bread-and-butter currency of WoT. Every battle earns credits proportional to damage dealt, spotting, and assist work — but every battle also costs credits in shells fired, modules damaged, and consumables used. At Tier 8 and above, this balance flips: a poorly-played Tier 10 game can lose 20,000+ credits even on a win, while a profitable Tier 8 premium tank can net 100,000+ on a strong game.
Modifiers
Premium account multiplies credit income by 1.5× (active subscription). Premium tanks have built-in 1.3× credit modifier on top. Boosters and reserves stack additively up to ~2.5× total.
Typical values
Per-battle credit income: Tier 5 win ~15–25k, Tier 8 win ~40–80k (premium) or ~30k (tech-tree), Tier 10 win ~80–120k gross but ~40–60k net after costs. Tier 10 loss often nets −20k.
Example
Why it matters
Credit economy controls how much you can afford to play Tier 10. Without a profitable Tier 8 premium feeding credits, sustained Tier 10 gameplay bleeds your bank dry — forcing standard-ammo loadouts that lose pen battles. The 'Tier 8 premium → Tier 10 grind' loop is the financial backbone of every progression player.
Common pitfall
Anti-detect browsers let you safely grind credits on alt accounts without bans. Used by serious WoT players, crypto airdrop hunters, and account farmers.
