Gun Laying Drive (Equipment)

Equipment that speeds up aiming by 10% — the reticle closes faster.
What it means
The Gun Laying Drive (GLD) shortens your aim time by 10%, making the dispersion circle shrink to full accuracy faster after moving or firing. It's the traditional pick for tank destroyers and artillery, and for guns whose long aim time is the main handicap.
How it's calculated
New aim time = base aim time × 0.90
Example
A sniper with a 2.9 s aim time drops to ~2.6 s with GLD — meaningfully more fully-aimed shots in a typical engagement.
Why it matters
Shots taken before the reticle closes scatter badly; anything that closes it faster converts directly into hits.
Common pitfall
⚠ On tanks that fight up close and snap-shoot constantly, a vertical stabilizer (which shrinks the whole circle) usually beats GLD (which only closes it faster).
