Proxy spotting
Proximity Spotting (50m Auto-Spot)
Automatic detection of any enemy tank within 50 meters of yours, regardless of camouflage or view range.
What it means
Proxy spotting (proximity spotting) is the hard floor for tank detection. Once an enemy tank comes within 50 meters of yours, they are automatically spotted — bypassing all view-range and camouflage mechanics entirely. This is why even a fully-camouflaged TD behind a bush gets revealed when an enemy light tank circles too close.
How it's calculated
Modifiers
Proxy spotting cannot be defeated by camouflage skills, equipment (camo net), or bushes — distance is the only factor. The 50m radius is measured tank-center to tank-center, not bounding box edges.
Example
Why it matters
Proxy spotting kills passive scouting and ambush TD play when the enemy team aggressively pushes. A TD in a 'safe' spot becomes vulnerable the moment a light tank or fast medium gets within 50m. It's why passive scouts must move when pressured, and why TDs need fallback positions.
