Module damage

Module (Internal) Damage

In one sentence:

Separate damage pool applied to internal modules and crew, distinct from hull HP damage.

What it means

Every shell carries two damage values: one against hull hit points and a separate, usually lower, value against internal modules (ammo rack, engine, fuel tanks, tracks) and crew. When a shell path passes through a module, that module takes module damage — which is why you can be tracked, lose your engine, or suffer an ammo rack without losing much HP.

Example

A shell that deals 240 hull damage may carry only ~120 module damage — enough to knock out a track or damage an engine, but usually needing repeated hits to destroy an ammo rack outright.

Why it matters

Understanding module damage explains perma-tracking tactics, engine fires from rear hits, and why some shots 'do nothing' but cripple your tank.

Common pitfall

⚠ Assuming big alpha guns always destroy modules — module damage is a separate stat and doesn't scale 1:1 with hull damage.
