Ranked
Ranked Battles (Competitive Mode)
Competitive Tier 10 mode with structured matchmaking and rewards tied to per-game performance ranks (chevrons).
What it means
Ranked Battles is WoT's flagship competitive mode — Tier 10 only, 7v7 or 10v10 depending on season, with a chevron progression that rewards top performers on both teams (even on losses). Players earn chevrons toward 'ranks' (15–30 ranks per season), then league placement (Bronze, Silver, Gold) based on final rank. Bonds, gold, premium time, and improved equipment are the primary rewards.
Modifiers
Chevrons awarded: top 7 of winning team gain 1 chevron, top 3 of losing team gain 1 chevron (sometimes called 'chevron grace'). Bottom players lose chevrons even on wins of poor performance. Class restrictions: SPG count limited per team (often max 2). Premium ammo and equipment freely allowed.
Typical values
Season length: 6–8 weeks, with weekly leaderboard sub-events. Rewards: ~5,000–20,000 bonds per season + premium time, gold, festive tank skins. Top 1% earns improved bond equipment directly.

Why it matters
Ranked is where serious players test themselves against equal-tier opponents in a structured format. It's also the fastest bond income source outside clan wars. Unlike random battles, ranked rewards individual performance even on losses — making it a skill-validation environment.
Common pitfall
