Free Experience
In one sentence:
Experience usable on any research — earned as a small share of battle XP or converted with gold.
What it means
Free XP (free experience) accumulates automatically as a small percentage of the XP you earn in battle, and can be spent on any module or vehicle research in any line. Elite vehicle XP can additionally be converted to free XP using gold. It's the game's universal research currency.
How it's calculated
Gold conversion: 1 gold converts 25 vehicle XP into free XP
Example
Players commonly bank free XP to skip painful stock grinds — unlocking the top gun on a fresh tier 8 immediately instead of suffering 30 battles with the stock one.
Why it matters
Spent well, free XP removes the worst part of progression (stock configurations). Spent on rushing whole vehicles, it evaporates fast.
Common pitfall
⚠ Using free XP to skip entire tanks rather than stock modules — the per-XP value is much worse and you skip learning the line's playstyle.
